Visitors, Visitors, Visitors & "The Bottle"

We have made it almost 2 weeks with Natalie Claire, as Tuesday June 3 marks this milestone. She continues to hiccup intermittently during the day and night. Jaymi noticed she did this before she came into this world. It seems that 1:30-3:30am is prime time for her to be awake. Jaymi and I struggle through this time, coaching each other to stay awake. We continue to log her feedings, dirty/wet diapers, etc., so we can keep track of how often and when we do these "care steps" for her. Two weeks ago Jaymi and I had no idea how to change a diaper, now we can do it on very little sleep at 3am with the night lights guiding us to the nursery.

Over the past weekend, we have had several visitors at our house to see Natalie. On Thursday, May 29 our friends Carleton and Anne Compton stopped by to visit her. Carleton, Anne and I are officers for the local University of Alabama alumni chapter. The Comptons especially liked the UA car seat in my Pathfinder. Roll Tide!

Next, on Friday, May 30, our good friends Tiffani Winkler and Matt Michaels stopped by. This first picture shows Tiffani holding Natalie. What a pro! Next, you will see Matt with Natalie. Matt is responsible for Jaymi and I meeting in the first place. Matt and Tiffani are engaged to be married in Boca Raton on Feb. 7th. Congrats! (I am one of Matt's groomsmen)

On Saturday, May 31, Jenny Weigle, current president of the Tampa Gator Club, came by to visit Natalie. Jaymi serves on the board of the Tampa Gator Club as the Academics Chair. Jenny took Jaymi for the afternoon to see the new "Sex & The City" movie while Natalie and I watched the women's softball college world series (the Crimson Tide and Gators advanced but were ousted on Sunday unfortunately by Arizona State and Texas A&M, respectively).

On Sunday, June 1, my "little brother" through Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, rising 10th grader, Teddy Ball, and his mother, Theresa, stopped by. Theresa brought Natalie a fresh bouquet of yellow flowers. Very nice.

Finally, here are some pictures of Jaymi with Natalie "Bear" as we call her occasionally. We are making strides, as today I managed to get her to feed from the bottle for the FIRST time with no issues. As you can see, we are tired yet happy.
