The last few days have been better for Natalie. On Thursday, neighbors Maureen and Michael visited her, getting a chance to see her nursery plus showering her with gifts. Thursday night 6/5 was tough, as she kept up Mom and Dad from 3-5am. Fortunately, Friday 6/6 turned out to be a better night where she slept for nearly FIVE hours. Yea, Natalie!!!!
On Saturday 6/7, Jaymi got a massage from our labor coach, Sherry. Afterward, Sherry taught Jaymi and Johnathan how to give Natalie an infant massage. At first, Natalie cried after a diaper change and bottle feeding. Sherry, however, helped us learn various ways to massage Natalie, calming her down. Sherry has a 16-month old and has success with baby massages after her daughter's bath. We will see if this works for Natalie too!
We went to Babies R Us together as a family to go "Natalie" shopping. There are plenty of cute things there to spend on her. We then headed to International Mall where we sported Natalie in the Quinny stroller. She is such a hit. Store vendors and other customers commented how "small she is" and how "cute she looks." We are very proud to show her off. Finally, we visited the "Build A Bear" store. We picked out her first teddy bear and witnessed it being stuffed by the staff. Jaymi even found a cute dress for the "Natalie Bear" bear to wear.
What a day. We are looking forward to have "backup" as Grandma Susan -- Jaymi's mom -- will be here starting Sunday 6/8 with us for a few days.
