Now that fall is here and the temperatures (on some days) are pleasant, we have been eager to take Natalie outside to enjoy nature. As a summer baby, most of her outings have involved trips to the mall because it has been just too hot to be outdoors for more than 2 minutes. It's so great to be able to take a blanket out to the park, throw it on the ground and let Natalie roll around and look at the trees and breathe the fresh air. This morning we went to a park on the water and walked on the pier. We tried to show Natalie the water and the downtown skyline, but she seemed decidedly unimpressed. She was equally nonchalant about the girl riding a horse around a nearby paddock. Maybe she won't be demanding a pony for her 10th birthday like another little girl I used to know:) We also tried a little swinging on the swingset, but she didn't look that thrilled about swinging either. What a picky kid! Oh well, I predict she'll start liking these things once she gets a little older. And as the days get cooler, I also predict many many park outings for Little Bear.

Natalie at the park
First, congrats to all the 'Bama fans for pounding the 'Dawgs Saturday night. What a game! To the Gator fans, well, let's just hope this was our wake-up call and that yesterday's debacle won't completely derail our season. OK, enough about that...I don't want to get upset again!
