Natalie's birthday!

All I can say is it's a good thing that Johnathan and I didn't put any money on Natalie's due date. We both assumed we were in it for the long haul and that I would be induced on May 29th. WRONG! The night before Natalie was born was an uneventful Monday evening - we took the dogs for a walk, ate dinner and presumed the birth of Natalie was still more than a week away. As Johnathan was watching "Everybody Hates Chris," I felt like something was not quite right. Turns out my water had broken! We called my doctor's office and they told us to go to the hospital to get checked out. We got our stuff together quickly and headed to St. Jospeh's. It was about 9:30 p.m. when we arrived and the first person we saw was our instructor from childbirth class. She was very excited to see us, but in the back of my head I kept thinking "This isn't really happening. They're going to send us home because I'm not REALLY ready to give birth." Lo and behold, the triage nurse confirmed that my water had indeed broken and that we were staying and would be having a baby within the next 24 hours. Wow! I'll spare you the gory details, but most of labor wasn't too bad. The last 30 minutes were trying, but it was all worth it in the end.
Day 2 is going pretty well. Johnathan and I are pretty exhausted, but we're hanging in there. He's a great daddy and I can tell Natalie already has him wrapped around her little finger. He's been a pro at changing diapers - you'd never know he'd never done it before (neither have I) - and has been such a huge help to me. I told him he isn't allowed to go back to work ;)
Here are some photos from yesterday and this morning. It's so hard to resist snapping a photo of every little thing she does!
