What's new with Natalie?

Sorry for the delay in posting new photos. We haven't been doing too many photo-worthy activities lately. I would love to get some more pictures of Natalie swimming to show everyone how great she is doing but it's hard to take photos and keep an eye on her at the same time. You'll just have to trust me when I say she is a great little swimmer. She goes underwater with no fuss and we can even let her go on her own to swim to the side. She can blow bubbles and kick like a pro. I predict she will be a really good swimmer come springtime. I think the lessons with my friend Jenny have been paying off, along with Dada and me taking her to the Y pool regularly. It really is the only good outdoor activity to do right now - still quite warm here, of course!

In other news, here is a picture of Natalie wearing her first pair of big girl underwear (Yo Gabba Gabba, of course). She knows how to sit on the potty but so far nothing is really happening. Grandma and I are going to give potty training a try next weekend when Natalie has a few days off from school. I'm going to try to keep a relaxed attitude and not push her into anything she's not ready for, but it would be nice if she could get the hang of it. It will be nice not to worry about diapers anymore, but then there are other issues we will have to deal with - accidents, fear of public restrooms and who even knows what else? Well, if anyone can do it, Grandma can! Right Grandma??

Natalie is continuing to learn a lot at school. She is getting pretty good at recognizing shapes and colors and can count to 20. She is learning the days of the week and knows so many songs. This girl loves to sing! Some of the songs I don't even know but it is very cute to hear her little voice.

Enjoy the photos!
